I moved to NYC 1 1/2 years ago, and recently started advertising on Craigslist for home remodeling/ design/ handyman etc. I've been lucky and have more work than I can handle. The clients all have been fun to work with and usually involve more creative, attention to detail type work. I will include these experiences here. I think this blog will be a good reference for those wanting to know what I do, and as the blog grows it may be a good place to share experiences, information, other blogs and websites pertaining to similar subjects, and who knows what else.
Moving to NY I found that many people here live in smaller areas, and need to maximize their space. Also, I found it's somewhat hard to find anyone to do a dependable job. 'Neat and clean' are very important to a lot of people, and not charging an arm and a leg with it. Also there are a lot of folks that want loft beds so they can put their bed up high enough so there's room for other things in the small space... I could go on. Anyway, I'll be documenting some of these projects as they come up. I have a bit of a back-log so the first couple of posts will be the projects that I've already completed.
